Are we in Kansas, Todo?

We had blustering winds last night, all day, and into tonight. We had a horse romping through the neighborhoood as we left for Church, it seemed we should've let the owners know, but well we don't know who are the owners. It was entertaining to see a horse in the neighborhood.

Now I know we moved to the edge of the developed area and we have horse pastures to the south and to the west. But I was surprised tonight to see three cows in our front yard. How funny. They liked our grass - perhaps becuase there is not much of it in our neighborhood. Ben and I thought perhaps the banging we heard outside was the wind and the fence. But looking out the window we found three cows grazing in the grass, sniffing at the car, and moving around the garbage can. Well, I quess we can enjoy a bit of the farm life.

Family Vacation

I wanted to do a family trip before I was too pregnant to enjoy anything. We know most of the usual summer adventures for us are out of the picture this year, so we took a trip to the great city of Boise Idaho. The girls had the most fun swimming at the hotel. My girls are amazing swimmers, Autumn can swim laps and tread water, Brynlee can swim from one end to the other if she stays close to the wall, so they were free to play and play they did. We went to the zoo, the science center, bowling, shopping, and eating. But really swimming at the hotel was the best part of the trip.
Oh and of course - Chuckie Cheese. That was our first experience with Chuckie Cheese and can I say I hope I never have to go again. The girls loved it. Brynlee kept telling us that when you go there you get to see the mouse cause he is there and I kept telling her he was just on the commercials. Well she was right and very excited when she got to shake his hand. Anyway we were glad to get home, but Brynlee is missing the swimming pool.

Random moments

Well, I haven't been very good at blogging lately. It seems when I have a moment of silence to sit and write I would rather veg in front of the TV and not think or move at all. First of all our exciting news, for those who haven't heard, our baby is a girl and her due date is August 8th. She may be a surprise but we are getting excited. I actually now have a little belly so I can't pretend it away anymore. Autumn wanted to know how they were going to fit another girl in their room - thank heavens they don't have to. We were kindof hoping for a boy since Chaz and the baby are so close in age so when I got home and told the girls the baby was another girl, Autumn said "Oh man we wanted a boy." Too bad - you get a girl and hopefully she will be as sweet a baby girl as Brynlee was.

Chaz is starting to walk and doing very good at it. He loves this little toy that you can walk behind and he can even pick it up and turn it the direction he wants to go. As you can see he discovered how to climb in it and then his dad gave him a ride, this was much better. Now he is always climbing in and waiting for someone to push him around - he will have to wait for dad to get home.
Brynlee loves putting on makeup - and as you can see she is very good at it too!

We are spending as much time as possible with our best buds before they go on their mission. For those of you who don't know - my parents are going to be leaving for 3 years in July to serve as the mission president in the Halifax, Nova Scotia mission. We are excited for them but sad for us, so we are getting in all the attention we can now. My kids love being at Grandma Simpsons because they rule there. Grandpa and Grandma give them 100% of their attention and do so many fun things. Last weekend Grandpa taught the kids a new game called spoons that ends up with the loser acting like a donkey. My kids love it and we have had to play it multiple times since getting home. My kids are very good at their "Hee Haws" now. As you can see even Chaz enjoys the attention of Grandpa.

Being pregnant is horrible on my children's diet. All I crave is chips and sweets. Brynlee has got me hooked on donuts and every time we go to the store her and I bring home a dozen. Chazie even enjoys this new addiction. Well, that is a bit of life at the Attebury home. We are excited for our family vacation over Spring Break next week, and the girls are looking forward to St. Patrick's day mostly cause they think the pinching idea is hillarious.
